In February 2008 WDI had experienced a change of ownership. WDI was bought out and is now a wholly Canadian owned company. As the final step in the reorganization process, Wegu Device Inc. has changed its name to WDI Wise Device Inc. In part we are making this change to have our company name more closely indicate the purpose of our business as we expand our product line and enter into new application areas.

We have retained the word ‘Device” in our name as it indicates our strategy to not build entire systems but to provide system integrators with unique devices or components that allow their systems to excel. We have adopted the word Wise as its definition is: ‘having the ability to discern or judge what is true, real or lasting; having good judgement; and being informed and having great learning.’ This fits well with our strategy of developing products with leading edge technology to provide significant product value after understanding our customer’s applications and requirements thoroughly.

For simplicity and convenience we will continue to refer to ourselves in our abbreviated form of WDI.

Some additional changes have also taken place. We now have a new website address which is www.wdidevice.com and our email addresses are now @wdidevice.com. However our old site and old emails will still work and will be redirected to the new address.

WDI is excited and proud of these changes as they are indicative of our strong growth and dedication to innovation. We will continue to provide the same products and fine service on which we have built our reputation in the industry.
