In 2025 WDI is officially celebrating its 20-year anniversary.  When my father, Dr. Adam Weiss, founded WDI in 2005 the flat panel display manufacturing industry was in its infancy.  With a core group of talented experienced engineers, a passion for innovation and a commitment to customer service WDI quickly became the standard for industrial microscopy autofocus. 

Reflecting on the past two decades in business, what comes to mind are the partnerships where we have played a significant role in our customers success.  Continually innovating and developing new autofocus sensor technology and algorithms in response to the changing requirements for LCD, LED, OLED and MicroLED inspection has allowed our customers to build faster, more accurate and more reliable tools pushing this industry forward.  Our standardized and customized modular microscopy solutions have allowed instrument manufacturers to focus their internal resources on developing robust multimodal solutions across many markets including semiconductor, FPD, bio imaging and machine vision.   

I would like to thank customers for their belief in WDI and our abilities to help them achieve their goals and vision of success, while always challenging us to be better.  The WDI team is continuously enriched by the people that we have met and worked with.  Many of these people have also become friends and advisors, allowing us to grow and learn individually, and, as a company. 

To be in business for 20 years requires having incredible people in your organization.  I am grateful for the opportunity to work every day with a group of talented and passionate people.  Your willingness to give of yourselves and help each other is the family bond which has made WDI a success.
