Design & Engineering
Our engineering team consists of accredited optical, mechanical, electrical, software, automation and application engineers with expertise in a wide range of microscopy and imaging applications and technologies. Additionally, we have years of experience with illumination, optical imaging methodologies and equipment, optomechanical engineering and performance modeling as well as quality control. WDI is able to provide a broad range of design and engineering services covering all aspects of developing custom microscopy autofocus and automation solutions.
Manufacturing
WDI manufactures both standard and customized components and systems including autofocus sensors, linear lens changers, Z-Axis actuators and illuminators. We utilize modern technology, precision components and world class assembly techniques to deliver modules and systems that exceed the most demanding quality and performance requirements. All incoming components undergo strict quality control and all finished products are tested individually using tailored quality assurance procedures. All WDI products adhere to globally accepted standards including CE and RoHS.
Custom Solutions
In conjunction with a broad spectrum of standard products, WDI specializes in the design and development of custom microscope autofocus and microscopy automation OEM components. Working with our customers in a collaborative process we offer solutions to their applications requirements that cannot be met with off-the-shelf microscopes or products and systems giving our customers the optimal level of performance, cost, quality and time-to-market.
Application Engineering
Our Application Engineering team provides expertise and specialized support in the field of autofocus, microscopy automation and imaging. The team is comprised of skilled application engineers with extensive knowledge of all WDI products and industry and application experience. The group works closely with WDI’s design and engineering teams and acts as the “voice of the customer”, ensuring customer needs are heard and solutions are implemented. They excel in adapting and optimizing autofocus and automation solutions to meet the new and unique demands of the market, ensuring reliable, high-performance results across diverse applications. Collaborating closely with customers, the team offers support from initial consultation through to implementation and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless integration and exceptional results.
